Job Overview: The Clerk position is a short-term appointment within the Division of External Operations, Registry of the ICC, based in Bunia, DRC. Duties and Responsibilities: The Clerk's duties include providing general office assistance, such as handling documents, filing, and sorting mail. The Clerk will maintain and manage office stationery and monitor supplies inventory, ensuring that cleaning supplies and other necessities are replenished as needed. Cleaning responsibilities involve keeping all office areas clean and tidy, including floors, windows, desks, and restrooms. The Clerk will manage waste by emptying trash bins and ensuring proper disposal and recycling. Maintenance support includes reporting any repair needs to the Administration and Operations Officer, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are functioning properly. The Clerk will also maintain cleanliness in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas, ensuring that they are stocked with necessary supplies and comply with health and safety standards.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a diploma of secondary education. They should have knowledge and skills in using basic tools and machinery, as well as cleaning equipment. The ability to organize one's workload effectively to deliver optimal cleaning services is essential. Candidates should be able to identify problems that need to be referred to a supervisor and demonstrate an understanding of the needs of others, responding accordingly. Fluency in oral and written French is mandatory, while a working knowledge of English is desirable. Knowledge of vernacular languages relevant to the country will be considered an asset, as well as proficiency in another official language of the Court such as Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish.
