Job Overview:
The AI and Digital Transformation Advisor will play a crucial role in shaping how Relief International adopts and benefits from artificial intelligence and digital transformation. This position is not merely technical; it requires a strategic advisor who can facilitate and lead change across various departments and country programs. The advisor will work closely with senior leaders and IT colleagues to develop a comprehensive organizational roadmap for AI adoption, ensuring that innovation aligns with the organization's priorities and humanitarian principles. The role is designed for someone passionate about leveraging emerging technologies to enhance humanitarian impact and improve operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the AI and Digital Transformation Advisor include leading the development of Relief International's AI strategy, identifying opportunities for AI and digital tools to enhance efficiency and decision-making, and coordinating a portfolio of AI initiatives. The advisor will support senior leaders in developing business cases for AI adoption, manage technology investments, and implement organization-wide approaches to AI adoption and change management. Additionally, the advisor will design training materials to make AI accessible to all staff, ensure alignment with cybersecurity and data protection requirements, promote responsible AI use, and manage the AI and Knowledge Management Intern.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate experience in leading or supporting AI adoption, digital transformation, or technology-enabled improvement initiatives within complex organizations. A strong understanding of generative AI technologies and their applications is essential, along with the ability to translate organizational needs into practical technology solutions. Strong project management skills and experience in change management initiatives are also required. Excellent communication and facilitation skills are necessary to engage both technical and non-technical audiences, and a solid understanding of responsible AI principles is crucial.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is required, ideally in fields related to technology, business, or humanitarian studies. Candidates should possess a strong foundation in AI technologies and their applications within organizational contexts.

Experience:
The position requires demonstrated experience in leading AI adoption and digital transformation initiatives, particularly within international NGOs or globally distributed organizations. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing multiple workstreams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of additional languages relevant to Relief International's operational countries would be advantageous.

Additional Notes:
This is a remote position with a contract duration of 12 months. The role is open to candidates based in the UK or any Relief International country of operation within a +/- 4-hour difference from Central European Time (CET).
