Job Overview: The Associate, People Solutions & Advisory role is designed to provide expert advice and practical solutions throughout the employee lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on health and wellbeing, absence management, performance improvement, mediation, and employee relations. The Associate will work closely with the Principal, People Solutions & Advisory, acting as a trusted adviser to managers, staff members, HR Business Partners, and Centres of Expertise. The position requires the application of HR best practices and strong policy expertise to identify risks, evaluate options, and influence decision-making. The Associate will also be responsible for managing case data, maintaining accurate records, and analyzing case trends to support strategic insight generation. A significant aspect of this role involves developing manager capability through targeted interventions, coaching, and training initiatives, ensuring effective management of people-related matters across the Bank.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Associate will manage complex health, absence, performance improvement, and employee relations cases from initial assessment to closure, providing balanced and risk-aware advice to managers and staff. Responsibilities include translating complex policy requirements into accessible guidance, identifying risks and organizational implications from casework, and maintaining accurate case management records. The role also involves analyzing case trends and absence data to identify organizational risks and opportunities, preparing insights for HR leadership discussions, and supporting the implementation of HR transformation initiatives. The Associate will develop and deliver training to strengthen manager capability, manage relationships with external vendors, and collaborate with HR Business Partners to implement HR initiatives effectively. Additionally, the Associate will lead strategic and operational projects within the HR function, ensuring timely execution of deliverables.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess HR advisory experience, particularly in employee relations, performance improvement, and health management. They should have experience managing complex employee cases and interpreting HR policies and governance frameworks. Familiarity with case management systems and HR technologies is essential, along with the ability to analyze data and provide evidence-based insights. Experience in managing vendor relationships and delivering training or coaching is desirable, as is experience in a multi-national environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are crucial, as well as the ability to engage positively with stakeholders across the organization.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree or professional HR certification would be advantageous. Candidates should have a solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment law, as well as experience in HR analytics and data management.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant HR experience, particularly in advisory roles dealing with employee relations and performance management. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing sensitive employee cases and applying HR policies effectively. Experience in a multi-national organization is preferred, as is familiarity with HR transformation initiatives and change management processes.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the working language of the EBRD. Proficiency in additional languages relevant to the EBRD's member countries would be considered an asset, enhancing the ability to engage with a diverse workforce and stakeholders.
