Job Overview: The position of Analyst - ServiceNow Engineer involves a hands-on role in developing and enhancing the enterprise ServiceNow platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable solutions, utilizing ServiceNow's configuration, scripting, workflows, and integrations. This role requires collaboration with platform engineers, technical teams, and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle. The Analyst will work on various modules including IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Service Portfolio Management (SPM), and custom applications, ensuring that solutions adhere to best practices and governance standards. The role also includes troubleshooting complex platform issues, maintaining technical documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the ServiceNow platform.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Analyst - ServiceNow Engineer will be tasked with the following duties and responsibilities:
Develop and enhance ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, SPM, and custom applications.
Write and maintain JavaScript code using ServiceNow APIs and scripting frameworks.
Configure and develop Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, Access Control Lists (ACLs), catalog items, flows, and workflows.
Ensure that developed solutions comply with ServiceNow development and platform governance best practices.
Support the quality of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data, Discovery, Service Mapping, and related ITOM capabilities.
Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
Contribute to platform upgrades, releases, defect resolution, and performance improvements.
Create reports and dashboards to meet operational and management requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 1
Troubleshoot complex platform issues and identify root causes. 1
Maintain technical documentation and contribute to development standards and best practices. 1
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the ServiceNow platform and other modules as required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess hands-on ServiceNow development experience in an enterprise environment. Strong JavaScript development skills and experience using ServiceNow APIs are essential. Familiarity with developing Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, ACLs, catalog items, flows, and workflows is required. Experience with one or more ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, SPM, or custom applications is necessary. A solid understanding of ServiceNow application architecture, data model, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, and development best practices is expected. Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and ServiceNow integrations is advantageous. A good understanding of ITIL processes, particularly Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management, is also required. Educational Background: A degree or equivalent professional experience is required for this position. Candidates with ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), or other relevant certifications will have an advantage. Continuous professional development and training opportunities are available to support skill enhancement in JavaScript, integrations, automation, and ServiceNow architecture.
Experience: Candidates should have a proven track record of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development within an enterprise context. The role requires familiarity with various ServiceNow modules and a strong foundation in JavaScript development. Experience in troubleshooting complex platform issues and a solid understanding of ITIL processes are also essential for success in this position.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if they are relevant to the regions in which the EBRD operates.
