Job Overview:
The coordinator" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Technical Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the effective coordination, implementation, monitoring, documentation, and learning of WWF Thailand’s Marine and Coastal Conservation Programme. This position is particularly focused on the Andaman Marine & Coastal Conservation Strengthening Programme, which is supported by WWF Belgium and WWF Sweden. The Technical Coordinator will help maintain program continuity, consolidate technical evidence, coordinate with local partners, and ensure that program implementation is practical, evidence-based, and donor-compliant. This role is designed to link strategic design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design with field implementation, partner engagement, documentation, reporting, and internal WWF systems, thereby ensuring that the program is ready for scaling from FY2028 onward.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Technical Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of duties including:
  • Supporting the Program Manager in coordinating the implementation of the Andaman Marine & Coastal Conservation Strengthening Programme by maintaining annual and quarterly workplans, activity trackers, and implementation calendars.
  • Ensuring that activities are implemented in accordance with approved workplans, budgets, donor requirements, and WWF Thailand procedures.
  • Identifying implementation delays and proposing practical solutions.
  • Maintaining a structured knowledge management system for marine program documents and evidence.
  • Preparing technical summaries, meeting notes, and reports for internal and external use.
  • Coordinating preparation and updating of site profiles for focal sites, compiling information on ecological importance and conservation issues.
  • Supporting field visits and community dialogues.
  • Liaising with government, communities, and academic partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Supporting activity monitoring, output tracking, and learning capture. 1
  • Coordinating with Finance and Procurement teams to track procurement requests and ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements. 1
  • Ensuring inclusive participation of underrepresented groups and supporting awareness of WWF's Code of Conduct and safeguards principles.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Marine and Coastal Management, Natural Resource Management, Public Administration, Development Studies, Engineering, Social Sciences, or related fields. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project coordination, environmental project implementation, technical coordination, or donor-funded project support is required. Experience working with government agencies, local authorities, and communities is essential, along with a background in marine and coastal conservation, community engagement, or natural resource management. Strong coordination, planning, and organizational skills are necessary, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Good interpersonal and communication skills are also required, along with proficiency in Thai and working-level English.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields such as Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Marine and Coastal Management, or related disciplines. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to the marine and coastal conservation efforts of WWF Thailand.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project coordination, environmental project implementation, or technical coordination. Experience in working with government agencies, local authorities, and communities is highly desirable. Familiarity with marine and coastal conservation, community engagement, and donor-funded project support will be advantageous. The candidate should also have experience in managing procurement, contract follow-up, and donor reporting, as well as field logistics and evidence documentation.

Languages:
Proficiency in Thai is mandatory, along with good working-level English. The ability to communicate effectively in both languages is crucial for liaising with various stakeholders, including government officials, community members, and technical experts. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not required.
