The individual contractor will play a key role in developing updated, evidence-based transport and road safety tools that prioritize safety and accessibility for all road users. This includes engaging with stakeholders and building capacities to ensure that road safety measures are effectively implemented. The contractor will be involved in reviewing transport networks and advocating for necessary policy changes, ensuring that the measures align with international standards and best practices in road safety.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Research Assistant include conducting thorough research and analysis on transport and road safety issues in the Arab region. The contractor will compile and summarize data from various sources, prepare statistical tables and graphs, and assist in creating presentations and background materials related to road safety deliverables. Additionally, the contractor will undertake specific analyses on selected subjects, develop manuals and policy papers, and assist in project management tasks. The role may also involve advocating for policy alterations and building the capacities of officials to utilize modern technologies for effective road safety management. The contractor is expected to carry out any other related duties as required by the project.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Transport, Road Safety, or a related field.
