A Master’s degree in a relevant field is required for this position. This educational background should ideally align with the humanitarian or development sector, equipping the candidate with the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to effectively lead DRC's operations in Yemen.
Experience:
The role requires a minimum of five years of relevant management experience, particularly in emergency or development contexts. Candidates should have a proven track record in leadership positions, demonstrating their ability to manage complex operations and lead diverse teams effectively. Experience in high-stakes environments, particularly in conflict zones, is essential, as is familiarity with the unique challenges faced in humanitarian settings.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within DRC and with external stakeholders. Proficiency in Arabic is desirable, as it would facilitate better engagement with local communities and stakeholders in Yemen, enhancing the effectiveness of DRC's operations.

- Leading fundraising efforts and maintaining strong donor relations to support program sustainability.
- Ensuring safety and security protocols are in place and adhered to, adapting to the evolving context.

Required Qualifications:

- The duty station is located in Sana'a, Yemen, which is designated as an unaccompanied/non-family duty station, reflecting the security and operational context of the region.
