Job Overview:
The Vocational Training Instructor for Solar Systems will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of educational programs focused on solar energy systems. This position requires the instructor to support the development of learning programs and curricula, conduct occupational and competency analyses, and integrate new technologies into the training modules. The instructor will facilitate both school-based and work-based learning, ensuring that training venues are properly set up and that inclusive training plans are prepared. The role also involves preparing assessments to evaluate student performance, maintaining connections with employers and industry stakeholders, and applying quality assurance measures throughout the training process. Additionally, the instructor will be involved in greening and digitalization initiatives, collaborating with other staff to create a respectful and organized learning environment, and implementing health and safety measures within the training center. This position is vital for equipping Palestine refugees with the skills necessary to thrive in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

• Supporting the design and development of learning programs and curricula, conducting occupational and competency analyses, drafting program profiles, and integrating new technologies into the training.
• Facilitating the delivery of school-based and work-based learning programs, including setting up training venues, preparing inclusive training plans, and accommodating trainees with disabilities.
• Preparing formative and summative assessments, developing assessment sheets, and conducting knowledge and practice-based assessments.
• Maintaining linkages with employers and TVET instructors, collecting labor market information, and conducting skills needs assessments.
• Applying quality assurance tools and processes across the training cycle according to UNRWA's TVET Quality Assurance Framework.
• Supporting greening and digitalization initiatives, integrating green and digital skills into training courses, and facilitating synchronous and asynchronous training sessions.
• Collaborating with other instructors to maintain a respectful environment, implementing co-curricular activities, and reporting on incidents and risks.
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have successfully completed full secondary education along with two years of post-secondary technical education or training with a specialization in Electricity. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to the UN's core values of integrity, professionalism, and respect for diversity. Educational Background:

Additional Notes:
This position is a daily paid assignment for a duration of up to three months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. The daily rate for this position is $25.63, and the salary may be adjusted based on the work schedule. Employees will receive one day of annual leave and one day of sick leave for each completed month of service. The vacancy is open to both internal and external candidates, but only those residing in Syria and authorized to work in the duty station at the time of application are eligible. UNRWA will not facilitate work permits, and candidates must have valid authorization to work in Syria. Preference will be given to registered Palestine refugees and candidates from underrepresented genders to promote gender parity within the agency.
