Job Overview: The Junior Officer for Human Talent will provide technical and operational support to the Human Talent Coordination in implementing processes that comprise the employee lifecycle. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with WWF policies, Ecuadorian labor legislation, and institutional standards. The officer will be responsible for supporting human resource management through the coordination and execution of recruitment and selection processes, onboarding, personnel administration, training, documentation management, employee well-being, performance management, and providing support in the implementation and monitoring of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System. Additionally, the officer will assist in documenting, updating, and continuously improving administrative and human talent processes, contributing to organizational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Human Talent Management: Provide support in executing recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, interview coordination, candidate communication, job offer preparation, and documentation management. Coordinate and execute the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring compliance with local and organizational procedures. Maintain updated personnel information in institutional systems (such as Workday and other corporate platforms), managing entries, movements, promotions, salary changes, terminations, and other personnel updates. Support the documentation management of physical and digital personnel files, ensuring integrity, confidentiality, and ongoing updates. Follow up on performance evaluation processes, goal setting, feedback, and talent development. Assist in coordinating training, well-being, learning, and organizational development activities. Provide guidance and support to staff regarding policies, benefits, internal procedures, and human talent-related inquiries. Prepare reports, indicators, and analyses related to personnel management. Coordinate with the administrative and financial area and external providers to deliver necessary information for timely payroll processing, employee benefits, and both internal and external audits. Follow up on employment contracts, renewals, vacations, licenses, permits, and other administrative movements of personnel. Support the implementation of initiatives related to organizational culture, diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee engagement.
Occupational Health and Safety: Provide support in implementing and monitoring the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with current regulations and organizational policies. Coordinate processes related to occupational medical examinations, health surveillance, ergonomics, and preventive medicine. Assist in organizing and following up on meetings of the Joint Committee on Occupational Safety and Health. Keep records and indicators of Occupational Health and Safety updated. Coordinate training activities, prevention campaigns, and promotion of healthy work environments. Follow up on incidents, workplace accidents, and action plans resulting from audits or inspections.
Process Management and Continuous Improvement: Document, review, and update processes, procedures, instructions, and formats in the Human Talent area and administrative processes. Identify improvement opportunities that contribute to optimizing process efficiency and employee experience. Assist in internal and external audits related to Human Talent and Occupational Health and Safety. Prepare reports and indicators to support decision-making for the Human Talent Coordination. Execute other related activities assigned by the supervisor, ensuring confidentiality and proper handling of the information under their responsibility.
Required Qualifications:
Education: A bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Organizational or Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources, or related fields. Additional training in Human Talent Management, Labor Legislation, Occupational Health and Safety, Process Management, Project Management, or Integrated Management Systems will be valued.
Experience: A minimum of 2 to 4 years of professional experience in Human Talent processes, including recruitment and selection, personnel administration, and documentation management. Experience in Occupational Health and Safety processes and in documenting and improving organizational processes. Practical knowledge of Ecuadorian labor legislation. Experience working with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), preferably Workday or similar platforms.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Organizational Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources, or related fields is required. Additional training in relevant areas such as Human Talent Management, Labor Legislation, Occupational Health and Safety, Process Management, Project Management, or Integrated Management Systems is considered an asset.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 2 to 4 years of professional experience in Human Talent processes. Candidates should have experience in recruitment and selection, personnel administration, and documentation management, as well as in Occupational Health and Safety processes. Familiarity with organizational process documentation and improvement is also necessary. Knowledge of Ecuadorian labor legislation and experience with HRIS systems, particularly Workday or similar platforms, is essential.
Languages: Intermediate English is desirable, but not mandatory. Proficiency in Spanish is required as it is the primary language of communication within the organization.
