Job Overview:
The TVET Instructor - engineer" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Civil Engineer position at UNRWA involves a multifaceted role that supports the design and development of vocational learning programs and curricula. The instructor will be responsible for organizing and conducting occupational and competency analyses, drafting program profiles, and integrating new technologies into the curriculum. The role also includes facilitating the delivery of both school-based and work-based learning programs, which requires designing training venues, selecting trainees, and developing inclusive training plans. The instructor will employ adult learning strategies and ensure that Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) principles are integrated into the learning environment. Additionally, the instructor will design assessments, build linkages with employers, and apply quality assurance tools throughout the training cycle. The position also emphasizes collaboration with other instructors and staff to maintain a respectful and organized learning environment, while supporting green and digital initiatives in vocational training.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the TVET Instructor - Civil Engineer include:

• Supporting the design and development of learning programs and curricula, including conducting occupational and competency analyses, drafting program profiles, and integrating emerging technologies.
• Facilitating the delivery of school-based and work-based learning programs, which involves preparing training venues, selecting trainees, and developing inclusive training plans.
• Designing student assessments, including formative and summative assessments, and conducting knowledge and practice-based assessments according to the assessment implementation plan.
• Building linkages with employers and TVET instructors, collecting labor market information, and conducting skills needs assessments to identify gaps and mismatches.
• Applying quality assurance tools and processes across the training cycle according to UNRWA's TVET Quality Assurance Framework.
• Supporting greening and digitalization initiatives by designing and implementing green and digital learning programs.
• Collaborating with other instructors and staff to coordinate the teaching and learning process, maintain order and discipline, and implement co-curricular activities.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Senior TVET Instructor or Deputy Principal of the Training Centre.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a university degree of four years from an accredited educational institution in Civil Engineering, with a major specialization in the field of the subject taught. Educational Background:

Experience:
No prior work experience is required for this position. However, candidates are encouraged to indicate any involvement in outside activities, such as teaching, volunteering, or other relevant experiences that may enhance their application. Languages:
For this position, proficiency in English and Arabic is required. The working languages of the United Nations Secretariat are English and French, but for this specific job opening, candidates must demonstrate a minimum level of proficiency in both English and Arabic according to the UN Language Framework. This includes reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in both languages at UN Level II.

Additional Notes:
This is a daily paid assignment for up to three months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. The position is classified at Grade 11, with a daily rate of 29.17 USD. Additional benefits include one day of annual leave and one day of sick leave for each completed month of service.
