Job Overview:
The National Consultancy position is designed to support the Global Accelerator initiative by engaging a national expert who will co-facilitate a Care Training scheduled for October 2026 in Tashkent. The expert will adapt UN Women’s core Care training modules to align with Uzbekistan’s local context and recent developments in the care system. This includes working closely with an international expert to revise training materials, develop a training agenda, and facilitate training sessions in Uzbek and/or Russian. The role also involves integrating findings from relevant studies into the training modules and designing assessment tools to evaluate participants' knowledge and learning outcomes. After the training, the expert will prepare a comprehensive report summarizing the training process, discussions, outcomes, and recommendations for future initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop the training concept and agenda, including pre- and post-training questionnaires.
• Adapt UN Women’s Care training modules to the local context of Uzbekistan.
• Collaborate with the international expert to revise the training concept note and ensure alignment with local reforms.
• Co-facilitate training sessions in Uzbek and/or Russian as required.
• Integrate key findings from the study on formalizing domestic and care work into training modules.
• Design assessment tools to measure participants' baseline knowledge and learning outcomes.
• Prepare a concise training report summarizing the implementation process, key discussions, participant feedback, and lessons learned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in political or social science, Economics, International Development studies, Gender/Women's Studies, or related fields.
• Proven experience in conducting training and developing policy documents.
• Extensive experience in gender, labour relations, decent work, and macroeconomics.
• At least 2 years of demonstrated expertise in women’s economic empowerment.
• Strong knowledge and professional experience in the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) Region.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as political or social science, Economics, International Development studies, or Gender/Women's Studies is required for this position. This educational background is essential to understand the complexities of gender issues and economic empowerment.

Experience:
Candidates must have a proven track record of experience in conducting training, developing concept papers, and policy documents. A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated expertise in women’s economic empowerment is required, along with extensive experience in gender and labour relations. Familiarity with the Europe and Central Asia region is also essential.

Languages:
Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Additionally, fluency in Uzbek and/or Russian is required to facilitate training sessions effectively and communicate with participants.

This is a home-based consultancy position, meaning no travel is required for this assignment. The consultant will be expected to deliver specific training-related outputs by set deadlines, with payment scheduled upon completion of deliverables.
