Job Overview:
The position of Consultant for the Implementation of ERCE Schools and Other Projects involves providing technical and pedagogical support to the Regional Office of UNESCO in Santiago. The consultant will play a crucial role in coordinating the technical and operational activities of the ERCE Schools project, which aims to assess and improve educational outcomes in Latin America and the Caribbean. The consultant will be responsible for organizing meetings, supporting technical and administrative processes, and ensuring compliance with commitments made by participating countries and educational institutions. This role requires a deep understanding of educational evaluation and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to enhance the quality of education in the region. The consultant will also be involved in the development of training materials and resources to support teachers in implementing effective pedagogical strategies based on assessment results.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including:

• Coordinating the technical and operational activities of the ERCE Schools project among various stakeholders, including UNESCO, implementing partners, and educational institutions.
• Organizing and participating in coordination meetings with country counterparts and technical partners, providing logistical and administrative support.
• Monitoring the implementation of project activities and ensuring adherence to timelines and commitments.
• Producing monthly reports detailing project progress and outcomes for participating countries and educational communities.
• Developing training materials and resources for workshops and webinars aimed at enhancing teachers' pedagogical practices.
• Supporting the development of terms of reference and assisting in the recruitment processes necessary for project activities.
• Acting as an active counterpart for consultants and projects supporting the implementation of ERCE Schools, ensuring effective collaboration and oversight.
• Engaging in efforts to identify and establish new partnerships to enhance the project's reach and sustainability.
• Participating in other activities of the Latin American Laboratory for Educational Quality Assessment as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in education or related fields, along with a master's degree in leadership and school management. Additionally, a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in project management within the education sector is required. Experience working with international organizations, education ministries, and school networks is highly valued, particularly in the context of implementing interventions with teachers in Latin America and the Caribbean. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, especially in intercultural contexts, as well as demonstrated leadership abilities in educational project implementation.

Educational Background:

Additional Notes:
The contract for this consultancy is set for a duration of 11 months, with the possibility of remote work. However, the consultant must be available for in-person meetings and activities as needed, which will be coordinated in advance. The consultant will be expected to submit monthly reports detailing activities and deliverables, and a work plan will be established at the beginning of the consultancy to outline specific products and their delivery dates.
