Job Overview:
The Project Management Intern will support project management activities under the guidance of the Senior GDI Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, including engineers, architects, administrators, and internationalists, while also engaging with external stakeholders relevant to the project's development. The intern will be expected to dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week to office activities at the UNILA Campus construction site, with flexible hours subject to supervisor approval. The position requires proficiency in creating reports using tools like Google Sheets and Google Docs, preparing progress reports on projects using Google Slides, and delivering presentations both in-person and via videoconference. The intern will also be involved in field visits to infrastructure works, which may require travel to construction sites and interactions with various project stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's primary responsibilities will include supporting extension activities related to the construction of the UNILA campus, organizing activities, and managing documentation. Specific tasks will involve systematizing information, preparing documents and presentations, integrating gender equality, diversity, and inclusion perspectives into project activities, implementing policies for the protection and prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, mobilizing partnerships to promote decent employment, engaging in participatory activities with the community, and raising awareness about human rights issues. The intern may also be assigned additional support functions related to the construction activities of the UNILA campus as directed by their supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates should be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs in fields such as Anthropology, Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, Cinema and Audiovisual, Cultural Mediation, Public Health, Rural Development and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Food Security, Public Administration, Public Policies, Architecture and Urbanism, Engineering, or related areas. It is desirable for candidates to be at least in their third semester of undergraduate studies or enrolled in a graduate program. Previous experience in project-related activities, research, or extension work is preferred, and involvement in project proposals, manuals, and academic reports will be valued. Preference will be given to students from UNILA.
Educational Background:
Candidates must be pursuing a degree or postgraduate studies in relevant fields such as Anthropology, Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, Cinema and Audiovisual, Cultural Mediation, Public Health, Rural Development and Food Security, Public Administration, Public Policies, Architecture and Urbanism, Engineering, or related disciplines. It is preferred that candidates are at least in their third semester of undergraduate studies or enrolled in a graduate program.
Experience:
It is desirable for candidates to have at least one experience related to the project theme in one of the three thematic lines, which may include research, extension, or work activities. Support for project proposals, manuals, and academic reports will be valued, and candidates who are undergraduate or graduate students from UNILA will be given preference.
Languages:
Proficiency in Portuguese at an intermediate level is required, as well as intermediate proficiency in Spanish. These language skills are essential for effective communication within the team and with project stakeholders.
Additional Notes:
The internship is classified as entry-level and is expected to last for six months, with the possibility of extension. The position is part-time, requiring a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.
