Job Overview:
The IDB Group is seeking an active undergraduate student for an internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position under the Consultant modality. This internship is part of the 2027 Winter Internship Program, which is a competitive paid opportunity designed for university students from member countries. The program aims to provide participants with insights into development work and corporate management within the Bank, while also offering valuable professional experience through on-the-job learning. Interns will engage in various tasks, including reviewing operational reports, ensuring data quality, supporting operational teams, conducting data collection and analysis, and assisting in the preparation of Annual and Semi-Annual Reports for donors. This role is crucial for students looking to gain practical experience in a dynamic and impactful environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for reviewing reports of operations in the Technical Cooperation Monitoring System (TCM) to ensure data quality. They will provide support to operational teams in utilizing the TCM effectively. Additionally, interns will conduct data collection and analysis, review project information for completeness and accuracy, and assist Fund Coordinators in preparing Annual and Semi-Annual Reports for donors. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be active undergraduate students enrolled in a program related to Economics, Public Policy, or Business Administration at an accredited university. They should have a graduation date that falls after the internship period. Additionally, candidates must be nationals of an IDB member country and should not have family members working at the IDB or IDB Invest. This position is intended for first-time participants in the IDB Group's Internship Program, and applicants should not have been former staff members or contractors for the Bank or Corporation.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should be an active undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Economics, Public Policy, or Business Administration. It is essential that the student has completed their second year of studies by the time of application and that their graduation date is set for after the internship period, ensuring they can fully engage in the program without academic conflicts.

Experience:
This internship is designed for students who are at the beginning stages of their professional careers. Therefore, prior work experience is not mandatory, but candidates should demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and adapt in a professional environment. The internship serves as an entry point for students to gain valuable experience in development work and corporate management.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and candidates should possess a working knowledge of at least one other Bank language, such as Spanish, French, or Portuguese. Proficiency in additional languages may enhance a candidate's application but is not required.
