Job Overview: The Programme Associate position is a critical role within UNHCR, primarily focused on supporting the assessment and analysis of the needs of persons of concern in the country or region. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Programme Associate include supporting the assessment and analysis of needs of persons of concern, managing the development of a network of partners, organizing and documenting partner selection processes, providing technical advice to the field, and ensuring compliance with established guidelines and procedures. The incumbent will also contribute to the development and implementation of monitoring plans, review operations plans and reports, and maintain records of implementation rates. Additional responsibilities include following up on compliance with audit certificates, providing training on resource allocation processes, and utilizing UNHCR's corporate tools for planning and reporting. The Programme Associate will also be tasked with identifying and managing risks, ensuring effective decision-making, and performing other duties as required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Programme Associate position must possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma, or two years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or higher. Essential qualifications include demonstrated experience in programme management, knowledge of Results-Based Management, and proficiency in computer skills, particularly advanced Excel capabilities. Desirable qualifications include completion of UNHCR Learning Programmes related to programme management and experience in training and capacity building activities. The candidate should also have strong organizational abilities, time management skills, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Educational Background: The educational background required for the Programme Associate position includes a university degree from a recognized institution in fields such as economics, commerce, social sciences, education, or business administration. Experience: The level of experience needed for the Programme Associate position includes a minimum of three years of relevant experience in programme management or related fields.
