Job Overview:
The Country logistics-manager" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Logistics Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of logistics resources within the region under their responsibility. Reporting directly to the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director and collaborating with headquarters services, the manager is responsible for addressing any logistical issues that arise and proposing effective solutions. This position is integral to the implementation of HI's logistics standards, which aim to enhance the positioning of logistics within the organization and promote professional development. The Country Logistics Manager will oversee a team of approximately 13 staff members (excluding drivers), with four staff members under direct management. The role involves defining the logistics section of the strategic operational plan (StratOp) and directing its action plan, as well as deploying HI's standards and contributing to the organization's expertise and accountability in logistics operations. The manager will also be involved in emergency preparedness and response, ensuring that logistics operations are effectively implemented during crises.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Country Logistics Manager will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: managing a team of logistics staff, overseeing procurement planning, conducting contextual analysis during the diagnostic phase, and resource planning during the design phase. The manager will facilitate the development of the logistics profession within the organization and contribute to the overall improvement of logistics practices. Responsibilities also include ensuring internal control measures are in place, preparing for emergency situations, and providing support for the operational implementation of logistics activities. The manager will be expected to maintain effective communication with the Country Director and other stakeholders, ensuring that logistical challenges are addressed promptly and efficiently. Additionally, the manager will play a key role in training and capacity building for local staff, enhancing their skills and knowledge in logistics management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Country Logistics Manager position must possess a proven track record of at least five years of experience in relevant sectors such as procurement, supplies management, rehabilitation of premises, fleet management, and/or information and communication systems. Furthermore, candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in a coordination role. Strong analytical and synthesis skills are essential, along with a demonstrated ability to build local capacity and provide training. The ideal candidate should be able to work effectively in high-pressure environments, manage stress, and handle conflicts with strong interpersonal and intercultural skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Arabic are highly desirable, as they will facilitate effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is required for the Country Logistics Manager position. • The position is based in Khartoum, Sudan, and offers a competitive salary starting from €2860 gross per month, depending on experience. Additional benefits include a net monthly per diem of €706, a hardship allowance of €500 net per month, and 25 days of paid leave per year. The organization provides social coverage adapted to the employee's situation, including unemployment insurance for EU nationals, a pension scheme, and medical coverage with a 50% employee contribution.
