Job Overview:
The Assistant Analytical Support position within the Intelligence Production Unit (IPU) is crucial for transforming complex data into insightful visual representations that support intelligence analysis. The role involves close collaboration with analysts to enhance the quality of intelligence outputs. The incumbent will also provide administrative support to the unit and assist in coordinating meetings and events with NATO members and other intelligence services. This position requires a proactive approach to developing open-source exploitation capabilities and maintaining high standards in intelligence production.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will oversee the efficient flow of information within the assigned team, ensuring timely retrieval and distribution of relevant documents. Responsibilities include maintaining document repositories, contributing to the drafting and presentation of intelligence products, and acting as a primary point of contact for data analysis requests. The role also involves coordinating with colleagues to ensure effective planning of infographic activities and developing best practices for data visualization. Additional duties may include providing constructive suggestions for office procedures and supporting the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding data visualization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a higher secondary education qualification with at least four years of relevant experience, or an upper vocational training/post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline with two years of related experience. Demonstrable experience with analytical tools such as PowerBI and visualization software is essential. Strong written, editing, and analytical skills are required to present clear and concise information. The ability to manage multiple high-priority projects is also necessary, along with proficiency in NATO's official languages (English/French) at specified levels.

Educational Background:
A higher secondary education qualification or an upper vocational training/post-secondary degree in a relevant field is required. This educational background should be complemented by practical experience in analytical roles, particularly in environments that require data visualization and analysis.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of four years of post-related experience for candidates with a higher secondary education qualification, or two years for those with a relevant post-secondary degree. Experience in a multidisciplinary and multicultural working environment is advantageous, as is familiarity with supporting committees, multi-year projects, and financial projects.

Languages:
Proficiency in NATO's official languages is mandatory, with a minimum of V (Advanced) in one language and I (Beginner) in the other. Higher proficiency levels in these languages will be considered an advantage, enhancing communication and collaboration within the organization.

Additional Notes:
The successful applicant will receive a definite duration contract of three years, with the possibility of an indefinite duration contract thereafter. The position is subject to NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations, and candidates must be nationals of NATO member countries.
