Job Overview:
The IDB Group is seeking an active graduate student for the 2027 Winter Internship Program, which is a competitive paid opportunity designed for university students from member countries. This internship will provide valuable insights into development work and corporate management within the Bank, allowing interns to gain professional experience through on-the-job learning. Interns will be expected to engage in various tasks that support the Office of Ethics, including research, data analysis, and the preparation of documents related to ethics and professional conduct. The internship is structured to enhance the intern's understanding of the Bank's operations while contributing to the organization's mission of promoting ethical standards and preventing misconduct.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for a range of tasks, including researching, compiling, and analyzing data relevant to the Office of Ethics. They will provide recommendations and support benchmarking efforts related to ethics and professional conduct. Interns will collaborate in the preparation of documents and templates for consultations and the Declaration of Interest Program. They will assist in drafting consultations regarding the application of the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, as well as research and review case data and ethics consultations to identify behavioral patterns that can inform policy development. Additionally, interns will support outreach and training activities, including content production, data collection, monitoring training completion rates, and contributing to the development of training and communication products. They will also recommend improvements to the team's work and services.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be active graduate students enrolled in a master's or Ph.D. program in fields such as law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">criminal law, litigation, anti-corruption, international law, compliance, or ethics from an accredited university. The graduation date must be after the internship period, ensuring that candidates are committed to their studies while gaining practical experience. Furthermore, applicants must be nationals of an IDB member country and should not have family members working at the IDB or IDB Invest. This internship opportunity is specifically for first-time participants in the IDB Group's Internship Program, and candidates should not have previously been staff members or contractors for the Bank or Corporation.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes being an active graduate student in relevant fields such as criminal law, litigation, anti-corruption, international law, compliance, or ethics. Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate program at the time of application, with a minimum of 50% of coursework completed. The graduation date should be set after the internship period to ensure that candidates can fully commit to the internship without conflicting academic obligations.
