Duties and Responsibilities: The Assistant Logistique will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: managing emergency-related stock, contributing to the planning and coordination of logistics operations, ensuring the rapid availability and deployment of strategic inputs such as laboratory reagents, medical kits, and personal protective equipment (PPE). The role also includes monitoring shipment schedules, participating in the establishment and tracking of emergency stockpiles, and ensuring compliance with WHO procedures. The Assistant will produce periodic reports on stock status and logistical constraints, manage the reception of goods, consolidate requests from various units, and ensure proper documentation and reporting of received items. Additionally, the Assistant will oversee the management of consumables and supplies, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure optimal storage conditions. The position requires collaboration with technical teams and partners to support epidemic response operations and ensure adherence to health product management standards.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bac + 3 years or a BTS in a technical field related to logistics or management. A diploma in logistics is desirable. Essential qualifications include a minimum of 8 years of relevant practical experience in logistics or stock management. Experience working with multiple partners, including UN agencies and NGOs, is advantageous, as is experience in emergency response logistics. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, rigor, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team while adhering to WHO procedures.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a minimum of a Bac + 3 years or a BTS in a technical field related to logistics or management.
