Job Overview:
The Gender Responsive WASH Program Manager will lead the implementation of a strategic assessment and program quality initiative aimed at enhancing the meaningful inclusion of women in WASH programming. This role involves overseeing technical assessments, data analysis, and the production of operational recommendations to improve gender-responsive WASH design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design and service delivery. The manager will coordinate technical engagement with implementing partners and stakeholders, build effective relationships with women's organizations, and represent SI in relevant technical meetings and forums. The position requires ensuring compliance with SI procedures and donor requirements while managing risks and maintaining communication throughout the project lifecycle. The manager will also support the development of practical tools and guidance to integrate women's priorities into WASH programs, ensuring that activities are delivered effectively and in alignment with the evolving operational context.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Gender Responsive WASH Program Manager include leading the implementation of assessments and program quality initiatives, overseeing technical assessments and data analysis, coordinating with partners and stakeholders, building relationships with women's organizations, representing SI in technical meetings, developing tools and guidance for WASH programs, ensuring compliance with procedures and donor requirements, and managing risks. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for completing ongoing assessments, finalizing reports, coordinating validation of findings, integrating recommendations into WASH programs, and ensuring effective planning and reporting throughout the project implementation.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Public Health, Engineering, Development Studies, International Relations, Political Science, Management, or a related discipline. Additionally, candidates should have 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with 0-2 years in a similar position. Technical skills required include project management, analysis and reporting, and digital data management. Strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and leadership qualities are also essential for this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Public Health, Engineering, Development Studies, International Relations, Political Science, Management, or another related discipline. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of WASH programming and the integration of gender-responsive approaches.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with a specific focus on WASH programming. While prior experience in a similar position is preferred, candidates with 0-2 years of relevant experience may also be considered. This experience should include project management, coordination, and engagement with stakeholders in a humanitarian context.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is essential for communication and reporting. Additionally, proficiency in Dari and/or Pashto is also mandatory, both written and spoken, to effectively engage with local communities and stakeholders.

• The role is based in Kabul, Afghanistan, and involves frequent travel to project locations for field activities and partner coordination. The salary for this position starts from EUR 2310 gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. Additionally, a monthly Per Diem of USD 600 is provided, along with accommodation costs and travel expenses. The organization offers a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses and essential vaccinations. Living conditions include a well-furnished guest house with limited electricity, a small gym, and communication facilities. Social life is primarily limited to interactions with other INGO staff, and there is a curfew in place.
