Job Overview: The Retirement Benefits Analyst position is situated within the Office of the Director General, Retirement Benefits and Investment Unit (BPOD-RIU) of the Budget, People, and Management Systems Department (BPMSD) at ADB. The role is crucial for providing technical support in pension-related areas, including the administration of the Staff Retirement Plan (SRP) and the Discretionary Benefits Scheme. The analyst will ensure the effectiveness of policies, procedures, and systems related to these plans. The position requires a proactive approach to reviewing policies and processes, drafting reports and presentations, analyzing operational data, and managing retirement benefits records. The analyst will also serve as a focal point for retirement benefits matters, coordinating with various stakeholders to enhance service delivery and compliance with established standards.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Retirement Benefits Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: conducting reviews of policies, processes, systems, and tools to provide recommendations for enhancing service delivery and compliance; drafting and coordinating knowledge products, reports, presentations, and correspondence; reviewing operational data to identify trends and prepare assessment reports; determining entitlements by analyzing pension and benefit cases; processing claims and payments in accordance with ADB procedures; investigating reconciliation issues and coordinating with internal and external parties; managing and monitoring retirement benefits records and filing systems; evaluating user requirements and recommending enhancements to digital content; and performing other duties as assigned in the workplan.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field. Additional training in data visualization, HR analytics, and familiarity with pension and investment concepts is advantageous. A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required, particularly in the administration of pension plans. Candidates should demonstrate experience in analyzing retirement, pension, or benefits data and liaising effectively with clients. Experience in a team-based environment, familiarity with HR management systems, and effective report writing and communication skills in English are essential. Practical experience in handling sensitive personal and financial information, as well as organizing benefits-related records, is also required.
Educational Background: The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field. Additional training or certifications in data visualization, HR analytics, or pension and investment concepts would be beneficial and enhance a candidate's profile.
