Job Overview:
The GCF Travel Officer will play a crucial role in managing travel logistics for GCF staff and stakeholders. This position involves coordinating travel arrangements, ensuring compliance with GCF travel policies, and providing support for travel-related inquiries. The Travel Officer will be responsible for maintaining relationships with travel service providers, managing travel budgets, and ensuring that all travel activities align with the organization's goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of travel management processes and will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of travel services within the organization. The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage travel arrangements for GCF staff and stakeholders, including flights, accommodations, and transportation.
  • Ensure compliance with GCF travel policies and procedures, providing guidance to staff on travel-related matters.
  • Maintain relationships with travel service providers to negotiate rates and ensure quality service.
  • Monitor and manage travel budgets, ensuring cost-effective travel solutions.
  • Provide support for travel-related inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during travel.
  • Prepare travel reports and analyze travel data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless travel logistics for events and meetings.
  • Stay updated on travel regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and enhance travel services.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in travel management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of travel policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and travel management software.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in travel management or related areas will be considered an advantage.

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in travel management or a related field is required. Experience working in an international organization or with diverse teams is preferred.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly Korean, is considered an asset.
