Job Overview:
The GCF Asset and Liability Management Specialist will play a crucial role in managing the Fund's financial assets and liabilities. This position requires a deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and risk management practices. The specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing asset and liability management strategies that align with the GCF's mission and financial objectives. The role involves analyzing market trends, assessing investment opportunities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The specialist will also collaborate with various stakeholders, including financial institutions, to optimize the Fund's financial performance and sustainability.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement asset and liability management strategies to optimize the GCF's financial performance.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of financial markets and investment opportunities to inform decision-making.
  • Monitor and assess the Fund's financial risks, including interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and credit risk.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on asset and liability management activities for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance the Fund's investment portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies related to asset and liability management.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations on financial strategies to support the GCF's mission.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in asset and liability management.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial markets and investment strategies.
  • Proven experience in asset and liability management, risk management, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Educational Background:
A master's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CFA or FRM are highly desirable and will be considered an asset.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in asset and liability management, financial analysis, or investment management is required. Experience working in international organizations or financial institutions is preferred.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly Korean, is considered an advantage.
