Job Overview:
The Human Resources Associate SC6 position at WFP in Kyiv offers a unique opportunity for professionals looking to advance their HR careers within a dynamic and multicultural environment. The role is part of a dedicated HR team that is currently transitioning to Workday, a leading Human Capital Management software. The successful candidate will engage in various HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Learning and Performance Management, Staff Relations, Contracting, Entitlement, and Payroll. This position is crucial in supporting WFP's mission, especially in the context of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, where the organization is actively involved in providing food and cash assistance to affected communities. The HR Associate will play a key role in ensuring that HR services are delivered effectively and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of WFP's operations in the region.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The HR Associate will manage a wide range of complex HR queries and follow-up actions, ensuring high-quality client-focused HR services. Responsibilities include allocating tasks and supporting the on-the-job learning of junior staff, identifying evolving organizational needs, and recommending changes to HR processes. The role also involves reviewing and compiling data on recruitment, contractual conditions, performance, and training requirements to support analysis and reporting. The HR Associate will onboard new staff, prepare complex HR documentation, and utilize Workday for managing HR data. Additionally, the position requires monitoring staff deployment and handling related administrative actions, including report preparation to support efficient HR services.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a sound theoretical understanding of HR concepts and principles, along with a broad knowledge of best practices and techniques. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to persuade and adapt communication styles to various situations. The ideal candidate should demonstrate problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently while adhering to WFP guidelines. Educational Background:
The preferred educational background includes relevant university education in organizational psychology or Human Resources Management. A minimum of secondary school education with post-secondary certification in Human Resources Management is required. Experience:
Candidates should have at least six years of progressively responsible support work experience in general administrative roles, with a minimum of three years specifically in human resources. Relevant post-secondary education can compensate for some years of experience, allowing candidates with a Master’s Degree and three years of experience or a Bachelor’s Degree with four years of experience to be considered eligible.

Languages:
Fluency in both English and Ukrainian is mandatory, with a proficiency level of C. This bilingual requirement is essential for effective communication within the diverse WFP team and with stakeholders in the region.

Additional Notes:
This position is offered under a Service Contract for a duration of 12 months, with the possibility of renewal. It is specifically open to Ukrainian nationals or residents with a legal work permit. The role includes a competitive salary starting at USD 2,159 per month, with an additional allowance of USD 623 per month due to the ongoing war.
