Required Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Applied Physics, Engineering Physics, or a related field.
• Required or encouraged by your university to complete a practical training period as part of your studies.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed at least 18 months of their studies (equivalent to 3 semesters) in the relevant field by the time of selection. PhD students or holders are not eligible for this position, ensuring that the role is tailored for undergraduate or master's level students seeking practical experience.

Experience:
This position is aimed at students who are currently pursuing their studies and have not yet completed their degree. Therefore, prior professional experience is not a strict requirement; however, a foundational understanding of material and surface science principles is essential. Additional Notes:
The Technical Student position at CERN is a fully onsite role with a contract duration ranging from 4 to 12 months. The ideal start date for this position is 01/04/27, and candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week. The position offers a monthly allowance of 3486 Swiss Francs, which is tax-free, along with 30 days of paid leave per year and 2 weeks of annual closure. Candidates will also benefit from CERN's comprehensive health insurance scheme, with contributions automatically deducted from the allowance. Travel expenses to Geneva may be covered depending on individual circumstances. It is important to note that applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State, and certain nationalities are currently ineligible due to membership agreements.
