Job Overview:
The Coordenador(a) de Projetos will play a pivotal role in the Forests, Land Use, and Agriculture Program at WRI Brasil. This position is focused on leading initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable, inclusive, and deforestation-free agricultural supply chains, particularly in the soy and beef sectors. The coordinator will be responsible for managing projects, facilitating multi-sectoral collaboration, and implementing solutions that align agricultural production with environmental conservation and climate mitigation efforts. The role requires a strategic approach to integrate the principles of Produce-Protect-Reduce-Restore and the insights from the report 'Creating a Sustainable Food Future' into actionable projects. The coordinator will engage with various stakeholders, including public and private sectors, academia, and civil society, to drive the agenda for sustainable agricultural practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Coordenador(a) de Projetos include:

• Institutional Engagement and Articulation: Representing WRI Brasil in forums focused on sustainable value chains, particularly in efforts to eliminate deforestation; establishing and maintaining partnerships with public, private, academic, and civil society sectors; disseminating traceability tools and command-and-control policies; and communicating results and technical recommendations to diverse audiences.
• Project Management: Coordinating the implementation of projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant deliveries; planning studies for sustainable agricultural transitions and best business practices; preparing technical reports, training materials, and documentation for donors; and aligning activities with WRI's institutional strategies.
• Resource Mobilization Support: Identifying funding opportunities in collaboration with the Development team; contributing to project proposal development and nurturing relationships with donors.
• Activity Coordination: Leading multidisciplinary teams in project execution; supporting planning, monitoring, and knowledge management processes; and facilitating integration between WRI's areas and external partners.
• Common Responsibilities: Understanding and aligning with WRI Brasil's mission, values, and policies; achieving individual and collective objectives; mentoring less experienced staff when applicable; ensuring quality processes and continuous improvement; staying updated on trends and tools in the field; participating in training as required; promoting an inclusive and respectful work environment; adhering to security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">information security and data protection standards; and performing other related activities as needed.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the Coordenador(a) de Projetos position include:

• A complete undergraduate degree in Environmental Sciences, Agronomy, Economics, Administration, or related fields.
• A postgraduate degree is considered a differential.
• Solid experience in managing socio-environmental projects, preferably within NGOs.
• Technical competencies in agricultural production chains (soy, beef) and deforestation combat policies; familiarity with traceability and monitoring tools; project management skills (agile methodologies, Office suite, budget planning); fluent English for international interactions; and proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders (private sector, government, civil society organizations).

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a complete undergraduate degree in relevant fields such as Environmental Sciences, Agronomy, Economics, or Administration. A postgraduate degree is advantageous and may enhance the candidate's profile, providing additional expertise and knowledge relevant to the role.

Experience:
The position requires solid experience in managing socio-environmental projects, ideally within non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of successfully leading projects that align with sustainability goals and have experience working with diverse stakeholders across various sectors.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it involves interaction in international contexts. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication capabilities with a broader range of stakeholders.
