Job Overview:
The SECONDMENT - Coordinator Cyber Strategy position is situated within INTERPOL's Cybercrime Directorate, reporting to the Head of Cyber Strategy and Capabilities Development. The role is pivotal in coordinating activities related to cyber strategy, outreach, and partnerships. The Coordinator will be responsible for establishing partnerships with external entities, including the private sector and academia, to enhance data sharing and provide tools, expertise, and training in combating cybercrime. The position also involves designing and organizing global conferences and events to support the Directorate's efforts against cybercrime. Additionally, the Coordinator will contribute to strategic planning, performance monitoring, and alignment with INTERPOL's global strategy, while identifying funding opportunities to strengthen cybercrime capabilities. The role requires providing analytical insights and advice to the unit head and representing the organization in various engagements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Coordinator will undertake a variety of duties, including responding to daily and ad-hoc tasks related to cyber strategy and partnerships, ensuring compliance with organizational priorities and policies. The role involves overseeing the quality and timeliness of work produced by assigned staff, preparing high-level briefings and reports for senior management, and identifying staff development needs. The Coordinator will establish and manage internal and external partnerships, monitor key performance indicators, and serve as a point of contact for cyber strategic policies. Additionally, the Coordinator will provide timely responses to inquiries from management, staff, or external partners and perform any other related duties as required by the hierarchy.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field, with higher degrees being desirable. A minimum of five years of experience in investigating cybercrime or cyber-enabled crime is required, along with a strong background in international cooperation and law enforcement operations. Experience in project management focused on organizational strategic and policy changes, staff supervision, and establishing external partnerships is highly desirable. A good working knowledge of ICT systems and digital forensics, as well as legal issues related to cybercrime, is also necessary.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position includes three to four years of completed education, specifically a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field. Higher degrees are preferred, indicating a strong academic foundation in areas pertinent to cybercrime and law enforcement.

Experience:
The position requires at least five years of relevant experience in investigating cybercrime or cyber-enabled crime areas. Candidates should have a robust background in international cooperation, law enforcement operations, and investigations. Experience in developing, delivering, and managing projects that focus on strategic and policy changes within organizations is essential. Additionally, experience in staff supervision and establishing external outreach and partnerships is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in oral and written English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another INTERPOL official language, such as Arabic, French, or Spanish, would be considered an additional asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in an international environment.

The position is a secondment role with a duration of 36 months.
