Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Coordinación de Alianzas Estratégicas include:
Coordinating and managing relationships with donors and partners to generate strategies for collaboration and funding.
Preparing and submitting proposals or expressions of interest monthly to secure funds from bilateral and multilateral sources.
Consolidating a portfolio of private foundations, both international and national, in coordination with the Strategic Financing Directorate.
Establishing strategic alliances with potential partners to participate in consortia aligned with WRI's impact goals.
Maintaining and expanding current strategic alliances with bilateral and multilateral sectors and foundations.
Obtaining and preparing monthly financing reports using internal platforms like Salesforce.
Regularly managing follow-up tools with technical areas to ensure accountability in fundraising efforts.
Conducting bimonthly analyses of success rates to identify learnings from donor processes.
Updating institutional information in the digital library semi-annually. 1
Identifying collaboration opportunities among WRI programs to align funding offers with available opportunities. 1
Collaborating with the Strategic Alliances and Programs directorates to develop and manage a portfolio of opportunities with multilateral and bilateral donors and foundations. 1
Supporting donor engagement efforts, including developing contacts and relationships with current and potential donors, organizing meetings, and leading preparation efforts for key meetings. 1
Identifying and researching new relevant potential donors. 1
Participating in fundraising campaigns, proposals, meetings, and donor cultivation efforts. 1
Assisting in proposal development and donor engagement for various team managers. 1
Coordinating, developing, and maintaining communication with current and potential donors and partners. 1
Ensuring timely and appropriate follow-up on donor requests and requirements. 1
Keeping contacts and interaction records updated in Salesforce to monitor opportunity progress and identify potential synergies.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the position include:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising within multilateral, bilateral organizations, or foundations.
Experience in international organizations is preferred.
Strong technical knowledge in fundraising, sustainability issues, public relations, and alliance management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced English skills.
Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools and their responsible, ethical, and safe application in accordance with institutional policies is desirable.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Marketing, Business Administration, International Relations, or International Business. A postgraduate degree is considered an asset and may enhance the candidate's qualifications for the role.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, particularly within multilateral and bilateral organizations or foundations. Experience in international organizations is highly desirable, as it indicates familiarity with the complexities of global funding mechanisms and donor engagement.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, as the role involves communication with international donors and partners. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not specified as mandatory.
