Job Overview:
This internship presents a unique opportunity for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in donor database management, CRM administration, fundraising operations, and data analysis within UNHCR's Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) programme in Mexico. The Individual Giving programme is crucial for maintaining accurate donor information, efficient payment processing, and high-quality data to support donor acquisition, retention, and development activities. The intern will collaborate closely with the Data Management team, contributing to the daily operations of Salesforce, Finhub, and other fundraising platforms while ensuring data quality, reporting, and operational processes are upheld. This role is designed for proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical individuals who have a strong interest in data management, CRM systems, and fundraising operations. The intern will play a vital role in supporting the Data Management team by maintaining donor records, ensuring data quality, and contributing to the operational efficiency of the Individual Giving programme.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Individual Giving programme and assisting in the preparation and implementation of the CRM migration project from the local Salesforce instance to the Americas Regional Salesforce. Specific duties include: supporting the CRM migration project by documenting business processes, reviewing existing data structures, assisting with data mapping and migration activities, supporting data cleansing initiatives, validating records, and contributing to user acceptance testing (UAT); supporting the weekly processing of recurring donation updates in Finhub and Salesforce, including cancellations, donor retention outcomes, refunds, and payment method updates; providing first-level support to Salesforce users from the Donor Care and Donor Development team; carrying out manual data cleansing activities in Salesforce; performing data quality checks by comparing datasets and validating records; generating donor segmentations and preparing data extracts for fundraising campaigns; managing and reconciling payment chargebacks across different payment platforms; supporting the manual offline collection process and payment retries; preparing operational reports and routine analyses to support decision-making; and performing other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
To be eligible for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria: be a recent graduate (having completed their studies within two years of applying) or a current student in a graduate/undergraduate programme from an accredited university; have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a relevant field; and not have exhausted the maximum cumulative internship period with UNHCR (8 months for full-time and 12 months for part-time). Preferred fields of study include Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Information Management, or other related disciplines.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a relevant field or be recent graduates. Preferred fields of study include Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Information Management, or other related disciplines. The educational background should be from a university or higher education facility accredited by IAU/UNESCO.

Experience:
Candidates should have some experience working with large datasets and familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce. Experience in data management, fundraising operations, or related fields is desirable but not mandatory. The internship is designed for individuals who are either recent graduates or current students, thus formal work experience may not be strictly required, but relevant academic projects or internships will be beneficial.

Languages:
The first required language is English at a B2 level. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish are essential. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly in the context of working with diverse communities and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
This is a full-time internship role with working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, totaling 35 hours per week. Interns who do not receive financial support from an outside party will receive an allowance to help cover food, local transportation, and living expenses. Internships typically last between two to six months, with the possibility of extension up to eight months for full-time internships and twelve months for part-time internships. The selected candidate will be responsible for acquiring and renewing current visas, residence permits, and obtaining medical certification. The intern must provide proof of health insurance coverage applicable to the internship location and a certificate of good health from a qualified medical practitioner.
