Job Overview: The position of Analista de Alianzas y Redes para el Área Marino-Costera is crucial for the effective functioning and strengthening of the Mexican Alliance for Ecosystem Restoration (AMERE). The analyst will manage the technical and operational aspects of the Technical Secretariat at WRI Mexico, facilitating communication and collaboration among alliance members. This role involves acting as the operational focal point for external stakeholders, addressing requests, facilitating contacts, and following up on new memberships. Additionally, the analyst will support activities related to RE3CO and other marine-coastal initiatives linked to alliance and network management. The position requires a proactive individual who can navigate complex stakeholder environments and contribute to the development of strategic partnerships.
Duties and Responsibilities: The main duties and responsibilities of the position include:
Serving as the Technical Secretariat for the Mexican Alliance for Ecosystem Restoration.
Monitoring the work plan, agreements, commitments, and outputs of AMERE in coordination with its governance structure, member organizations, and internal team.
Supporting engagement and communication with civil society organizations, public institutions, academia, the private sector, communities, and cooperation agencies related to ecosystem restoration.
Keeping updated directories of members, actor mapping, databases, and tracking systems for alliances, activities, and collaboration opportunities.
Preparing agendas, minutes, concept notes, presentations, technical briefs, and reports, and assisting in organizing, facilitating, and documenting meetings, workshops, and other exchange spaces for AMERE and RE3CO.
Conducting research, systematization, and analysis of information on ecosystem restoration, public policies, cooperation, financing, and national and international networks.
Contributing to the monitoring of RE3CO projects and activities, including coordination with partners, evidence integration, progress monitoring, and report preparation.
Identifying calls for proposals, advocacy spaces, alliances, and opportunities for technical or financial cooperation, and supporting the development of proposals and institutional documents.
Coordinating specific lines of work or processes within the network based on performance, acquired experience, and team needs.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include:
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in project management, cooperation, networks, alliances, institutional engagement, or environmental initiatives.
Experience working with diverse stakeholders and preparing technical inputs, reports, meetings, or events. Experience in environmental organizations, public institutions, international cooperation, or multi-stakeholder platforms will be valued.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as international relations, political science, public administration, environmental sciences, biology, sustainable development, or environmental management. Additional training in areas related to ecosystem restoration, biodiversity, international cooperation, public policies, or project management is considered a plus.
Experience: The position requires at least 2 years of professional experience in areas such as project management, cooperation, networks, alliances, institutional engagement, or environmental initiatives. Candidates should have experience working with a variety of stakeholders and in preparing technical materials, reports, meetings, or events. Experience in environmental organizations, public institutions, international cooperation, or multi-stakeholder platforms is highly valued.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, with advanced skills in both oral and written communication. Knowledge of other languages may be beneficial but is not required.
