Job Overview: The Donor Relation and Data Intern position is designed for individuals who are passionate about fundraising and refugee issues. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within UNHCR’s Individual Giving (IG) team. The intern will be involved in various aspects of donor relationship management and data handling, providing essential support to the office while also gaining insights into the workings of a major international organization. The role is expected to last between six to eight months, allowing the intern to contribute meaningfully to the team while developing their professional skills in a supportive environment.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will have a diverse set of responsibilities that may evolve based on the team's priorities. Key duties include:
Donor Relationship and Stewardship: - Managing day-to-day donor care by responding to inquiries from donors and supporters via phone and email. - Assisting with routine communications, including thank you letters and tax receipts. - Supporting colleagues in processing offline donations. - Maintaining accurate data in the CRM system. - Engaging in daily communications with donors and monitoring reactivation and retention programs. - Collaborating with the PSP team to develop high-quality donor communication content. - Assisting with administrative tasks and cross-project support as needed.
CRM Data and Reporting: - Assisting the Database team with data entry and tracking contacts in the Salesforce database. - Ensuring effective data management processes to maintain data integrity. - Regularly updating supporter details and following up on fundraising campaign performances. - Providing support for reporting to the PSP France team and developing guidelines for effective use of Salesforce and fundraising platforms.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for this internship should meet the following essential qualifications: - Recent graduates or current students in a relevant field such as business administration, data science, or marketing. - Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies in a related area. - Strong writing skills and oral fluency in French, with a working level of English. - Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with an interest in data management. - Demonstrated initiative, autonomy, and organizational skills. - Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage emergencies. - A strong interest in fundraising activities and a commitment to supporting UNHCR's mission and refugees.
