Job Overview:
The Regional Rehabilitation Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the development of operational strategies and revising sectorial strategies in response to the evolving context in the Mashriq region, particularly in Lebanon. Reporting to the Technical Head of Program (THoP), the specialist will contribute to the implementation of HI's mandate and operational strategy within the Mashriq program. This position requires ensuring optimal quality and impact of rehabilitation projects across multiple countries, including Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, and Syria. The specialist will leverage their expertise in rehabilitation to provide strategic and operational support, ensuring compliance with HI's policies and frameworks. The role also involves contributing to the development of research and innovation projects in mental health and psychosocial-support" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">psychosocial support (MHPSS) and fostering technical partnerships with other actors in the field.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Expertise: Contribute to regional and country mission strategies in line with global strategies; provide technical support to projects; design and contextualize technical tools and training materials; ensure technical learning and quality control of rehabilitation activities; ensure compliance with nexus stakes; contribute to research and innovation projects in MHPSS; and support the animation of the Technical Division's professional channel.
• Influence: Enhance HI's local prestige and influence in rehabilitation expertise and foster partnerships with other organizations.
• Business Development: Identify and develop major opportunities or new projects in the rehabilitation sector; stay updated on international practices and guide the mission towards relevant technical programming.
• Emergency Preparedness and Response: Contribute to emergency preparedness actions and adapt working modalities during emergencies to ensure effective humanitarian response.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold an advanced degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. A minimum of 5 years of experience in international development and emergency environments is required, with proven experience in complex settings and collaboration with national rehabilitation actors. Strong strategic analytical skills and experience in capacity building techniques with adults are essential. Candidates should demonstrate a collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a team or network.

Educational Background:
An advanced degree in a relevant field such as Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Medicine, or Rehabilitation is mandatory for this position. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of rehabilitation practices and interventions in diverse contexts.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in international development, particularly in emergency and post-crisis environments. • The contract includes social coverage adapted to the employee's situation, such as unemployment insurance benefits for EU nationals, a pension scheme, and medical coverage with a 50% employee contribution. The gross monthly salary starts at 2813 €, with a net monthly per diem of 640 € paid in the field. Employees are entitled to 25 paid leave days per year and a rest and recuperation (R&R) day according to the mission level. The position is open to families, offering a child allowance, contributions to school registration fees, family-wide health coverage, and coverage for travel costs and housing.
