Job Overview: The UNEP FI GFANZ Team Coordinator for Africa will play a pivotal role in establishing and strengthening the administrative, management, documentation, liaison, and communication components of the Africa Network. Duties and Responsibilities: The Team Coordinator will be responsible for a comprehensive set of duties, including but not limited to: coordinating quarterly advisory board and working group meetings, ensuring efficient scheduling and follow-ups to enhance operational efficiency, and supporting the timely delivery of outcomes and impacts from various activities. Specific tasks include coordinating activities and meetings for the Advisory Board, Working Groups, and technical teams; assisting in the development of annual regional workplans; preparing briefing materials and presentations for meetings; managing documentation and archiving of key materials; overseeing onboarding and performance evaluation processes; and liaising with UNEP-FI and GFANZ Secretariat on administrative matters. The coordinator will also supervise routine correspondence and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a master's degree in economics, development studies, business, management, commerce, administration, or a related discipline. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree may be accepted if the candidate has at least four years of relevant experience. Additionally, candidates should have at least two years of practical experience in coordination and communication roles within regional or international organizations, particularly those focusing on development or finance issues. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
