Job Overview:
The position of Développeur(se) Web / Full Stack is crucial for the implementation of the Gender Data Lab, a platform aimed at centralizing, analyzing, and disseminating gender-specific statistics. The developer will be responsible for the technical execution of the platform, working closely with the National Agency of Statistics and Demography (ANSD) in Senegal. This role requires a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies to create a user-friendly interface for accessing and analyzing gender data. The developer will collaborate with data scientists and other experts to ensure the platform meets the needs of its users and adheres to modern standards of data visualization and analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Développeur(se) Web / Full Stack will have a wide range of responsibilities, including:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining the Gender Data Lab web platform.
• Creating user interfaces for the consultation, analysis, and dissemination of gender-specific statistics.
• Developing APIs for communication between different components of the platform.
• Integrating interactive dashboards, visualization tools, and analytical features into the platform.
• Implementing authentication mechanisms, user profile management, and access control.
• Developing administration features, content management, and metadata management functionalities.
• Ensuring the platform's performance, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, robustness, and maintainability.
• Participating in technical documentation, functional testing, integration testing, and deployment of the platform.
• Providing corrective and evolutionary maintenance during the pilot phase. 1
• Collaborating with project experts to ensure technical and functional coherence. 1
• Executing any other related tasks as requested by project coordination.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong set of qualifications, including:

• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as React, Vue.js, Angular, or Next.js, and back-end technologies like FastAPI, Django, Flask, or Node.js/NestJS.
• Expertise in designing and developing REST and GraphQL APIs, along with API documentation skills (OpenAPI/Swagger).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git), CI/CD workflows, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and web application security mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, OWASP Top 10).
• Ability to integrate artificial intelligence services into applications.

Educational Background:
A minimum educational requirement for this position is a Master's degree (Bac+5) in computer science, software engineering, information systems, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, or a related field. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to perform the job effectively.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least two years of professional experience in web application development and digital platforms. This experience should include participation in the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of web applications that are currently in production. Experience in developing data platforms, decision-making dashboards, or applications that integrate artificial intelligence services is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.

Languages:
Fluency in French is required for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization and with stakeholders. A good command of technical English is also desired, as it will facilitate understanding of technical documentation and collaboration with international teams.

Additional Notes:
This consultancy position requires full-time presence at the ANSD office in Dakar, as access to technical infrastructure, databases, and teams is essential for the successful execution of the mission. Occasional travel may be required within Dakar or other regions of Senegal for coordination, data collection, or capacity-building purposes, subject to prior agreement with ONU Femmes.
