Job Overview:
The Consultant Partnerships position at WFP is designed to enhance partnership engagement, which is crucial for resource mobilization and strategic positioning within the organization. The consultant will work closely with the Regional Director’s front office and the Head of Partnerships to ensure effective donor engagement and high-quality communication. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Consultant Partnerships will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:

• Supporting donor engagement by preparing briefs, talking points, and background notes for senior management to facilitate informed discussions with donors.
• Contributing to resource mobilization efforts by drafting proposals and conducting donor intelligence to identify potential funding opportunities.
• Coordinating high-level meetings, missions, and events that involve the Regional Director, ensuring that all logistical and preparatory aspects are handled efficiently.
• Drafting strategic communication products such as reports and concept notes that articulate WFP's mission and objectives to stakeholders.
• Ensuring effective coordination with Country Offices and technical units to align partnership strategies and initiatives.
• Maintaining partnership tracking tools and dashboards to monitor engagement and outcomes effectively.
• Delivering high-quality briefing packages, donor proposals, meeting reports, and communication materials that enhance WFP's visibility and engagement with partners.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Economics, or a related field. Additionally, they should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in partnerships, donor relations, or program support. Experience within the UN system, particularly with WFP, is considered an asset. Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge and skills in managing partnerships and donor relations, as well as program support, showcasing their ability to navigate complex environments and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is an advanced university degree, which typically includes a Master's degree or equivalent in fields such as International Relations, Development Studies, Economics, or other relevant disciplines. This educational background is essential to equip the candidate with the necessary theoretical knowledge and analytical skills required for effective engagement in partnerships and resource mobilization.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have a substantial level of experience, specifically a minimum of 3 to 5 years in roles that involve partnerships, donor relations, or program support. This experience should ideally include work within the UN system or similar international organizations, where the candidate has developed a strong understanding of the dynamics of humanitarian assistance and the importance of strategic partnerships in achieving organizational goals.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and French is mandatory for this position, as these are the primary languages used in WFP's operations and communications.
