Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the communication efforts of the Department of Nuclear Sciences and Applications. Key responsibilities include contributing to the production of materials for the department's web pages and social media platforms, assisting in the maintenance of the department's social media presence, and helping to collect and review information for reports produced by the Office of the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Deputy Director General. Additionally, interns will assist in the preparation of public information products, such as PowerPoint presentations, and gather information for media outreach. They will also provide support at departmental events, which may include taking photographs and documenting activities. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in communication, journalism, media, or a related field. A strong knowledge of social media and multimedia production techniques is essential, along with experience in producing outreach and visibility-related stories and products. Familiarity with public information and communication strategies, including multimedia content creation and outreach activities, is also required. Excellent proficiency in the standard Microsoft Office suite is necessary, as well as good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment. An understanding of public relations, diplomacy, and politically sensitive issues would be considered an asset.

Educational Background:
Applicants must be at least 20 years of age and have completed a minimum of three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a first degree. Candidates may apply up to one year after completing their bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree. It is important that candidates have not previously participated in the IAEA's internship program, ensuring that the opportunity is available to new applicants.
