The UNEP is currently updating the course titled 'Introductory Course on SDG 16 and Access Rights, the Aarhus Convention, and the Escazú Agreement.' This update requires the translation of the course content into all official UN languages. It emphasizes the importance of good governance in responding to these challenges. Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16 is pivotal for promoting necessary actions in governance and is instrumental in achieving all other SDGs. Additionally, the course will survey various other environment-related and human rights treaties and international instruments, examining their interconnections and contributions to good governance and sustainable development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of this position is to translate the content of the course on law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">environmental law into all UN official languages. This includes ensuring that the translation is accurate, culturally appropriate, and maintains the integrity of the original content. The translator will need to work closely with subject matter experts to understand the nuances of the content being translated. The translator will also be expected to participate in discussions regarding the course content and provide feedback on how the material can be effectively communicated in different languages. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong command of at least two UN official languages, with a preference for English and Spanish.
