Job Overview:
The HR Manager position at CIMMYT is a pivotal role that requires an outstanding, self-motivated, and result-oriented professional to lead and manage the full spectrum of human resources for CIMMYT’s India programs. This role is designed to act as a strategic partner, ensuring compliance with Indian labor laws, HR policies, and organizational standards. The HR Manager will be responsible for supporting talent management, workforce planning, employee relations, and culture-building initiatives across CIMMYT India. The position is based in Delhi and involves overseeing all HR administration and development activities, from hiring to retiring of locally recruited staff members, while also providing effective support to the administration of internationally recruited staff (IRS) in India. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that HR services are delivered with high quality and efficiency, contributing to the overall success of CIMMYT’s mission in the region.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The HR Manager will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: overseeing all HR administration and development activities in CIMMYT’s India Country Office; providing proactive support to the administration of IRS; administering various categories of labor such as consultants and interns; offering professional HR advice to program leaders and unit heads; conducting recruitment processes in compliance with CIMMYT’s policies; administering staff benefits programs; supporting the implementation of HR processes defined with HQ; defining and implementing training priorities; ensuring payroll incidences are processed accurately; maintaining employee leave and attendance data; ensuring compliance with local legislation and HR policies; overseeing HR analysts; developing annual training plans; coordinating training programs; reviewing training impacts; supporting compliance teams for grievances; and performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Additionally, they should have 7–10 years of relevant HR experience, with a strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR best practices. Experience working with multi-location or international organizations is preferred. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively manage human resources in a complex organizational environment.

Experience:
