Job Overview:
The Consultant Community Manager on Disability-Inclusive Education will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of the Community of Practice on Disability-Inclusive Education Sector Planning (CoP-DIESP). This position is designed for a period of eleven months, during which the consultant will work closely with various teams within IIEP-UNESCO to enhance the community's effectiveness and outreach. The primary expectation from this role is to foster networking, peer learning, and knowledge sharing among education planners and practitioners focused on disability-inclusive education. The consultant will be responsible for managing the community's online platform, facilitating discussions, and organizing events that promote engagement and collaboration among members. This role requires a deep understanding of disability-inclusive education and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences. The consultant will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the community by implementing best practices and innovative strategies to enhance member participation and resource sharing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Consultant Community Manager will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Recruitment and onboarding of community participants to ensure a diverse and engaged membership.
• Designing and implementing activities that align with the established planning for the CoP, including online forums and live events.
• Animating the community by encouraging member participation, moderating discussions, and maintaining an active online presence.
• Managing the CoP's online space, including content creation, posting, translation, and user management.
• Systematizing and archiving information shared by participants to maintain a valuable resource for the community.
• Amplifying key messages and learnings from the CoP to broader audiences.
• Sourcing and curating relevant resources to support community members.
• Organizing events that facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration among members.
• Monitoring and evaluating the CoP's activities and outcomes, including preparing reports and contributing to discussions on the community's impact. 1
• Identifying potential collaborations and support needs based on member contributions and discussions.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree or equivalent in education, social sciences, communications, or related fields. Additionally, they should have demonstrated professional experience of at least three years in disability-inclusive education, with at least one year of experience working with ministries of education and development partners in low- and middle-income countries. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, particularly in engaging with multi-national audiences. The ideal candidate will also have proven skills in community facilitation and discussion moderation, as well as the ability to analyze data and use performance metrics to measure community engagement and impact.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as education, social sciences, or communications is required for this position. This educational background is crucial as it provides the necessary theoretical framework and understanding of the complexities involved in disability-inclusive education and community management.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of three years of demonstrated professional experience in disability-inclusive education. Candidates should also have at least one year of experience working with ministries of education and development partners, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. This experience is vital for understanding the challenges and opportunities within the educational landscape and for effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders.

Languages:
Candidates must have an excellent command of English or French, both written and oral. Proficiency in Portuguese is considered a desirable qualification, as it would enhance communication within the community and broaden the consultant's ability to engage with a diverse audience. The ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is an asset in this role, given the international nature of the community.

• The position is expected to be carried out remotely, with an average engagement of three days per week. Payment for the consultancy will be contingent upon the satisfactory completion of deliverables as outlined in the contract. The consultant will be required to submit monthly activity reports detailing the activities undertaken and a draft work plan for the following month. Additionally, the consultant may need to undertake travel for face-to-face gatherings of the CoP, with travel costs supported by IIEP.
