Job Overview:
The Deputy Head of Global Indirect Procurement will play a crucial role in the Global Procurement Unit (GPU) at MSF International, which is responsible for overseeing procurement strategies and ensuring compliance and efficiency across all MSF entities. This position is vital for coordinating the development of Global Indirect Procurement activities and supporting the team in achieving their strategic objectives by the end of 202

• The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders, including heads of resources, procurement, and international platforms, to ensure alignment with MSF's mission and priorities. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying needs, formulating strategic priorities, and fostering collaboration among teams to enhance the value delivered by indirect procurement activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that global indirect procurement activities align with MSF's annual strategic objectives and needs. Execute action plans for each buyer/advisor to achieve 2026 priorities while anticipating risks and engaging stakeholders.
• Lead the team responsible for global indirect procurement, ensuring coherence among various activities and strengthening the working framework. Promote professional development and a collaborative working environment.
• Foster collaboration between the indirect procurement team and other GPU teams, maintaining effective communication and feedback loops with stakeholders.
• Plan and manage resources allocated to procurement activities, conducting recruitment interviews and ensuring proper resource monitoring.
• Operationalize strategic orientations validated by the Executive Supply Chain Committee (ESCC) and coordinate work across multiple MSF entities, influencing decision-makers as needed.
• Manage a procurement spend of 441 million Euros in 2025 and oversee a team of up to 7 members, including Global Category Buyers and HQ Procurement Advisors.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. A deep understanding of procurement processes and strategies is essential, along with experience in coordinating cross-functional teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. Candidates should also demonstrate problem-solving abilities and a capacity to navigate complex organizational structures. Familiarity with MSF's mission and values is highly desirable, as is experience in humanitarian or non-profit sectors.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is required. A master's degree or equivalent experience in procurement or logistics is preferred. Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management would be an asset.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in the humanitarian sector or with international organizations is highly valued. Proven track record of managing procurement processes and leading teams is essential.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in French is highly desirable. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to MSF's operational contexts would be considered an advantage.
