Job Overview:
The Business Systems Manager at CIMMYT is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of ERP initiatives, particularly focusing on Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations/Customer Engagement). The role requires a deep hands-on understanding of the data model, extensions, and application lifecycle management (ALM) associated with Dynamics 36

• The manager will also need to demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI/Fabric for enterprise analytics, data modeling, and governance. Additionally, familiarity with Microsoft Azure services, DevOps pipelines, and database integration is essential. The position emphasizes the importance of building a high-performing development team, fostering an inclusive culture, and promoting a DevOps approach to enhance collaboration and efficiency in delivering ERP solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Business Systems Manager will be tasked with building and leading a high-performing development team, setting clear goals, mentoring team members, and providing constructive performance feedback. Responsibilities include creating an inclusive, learning-oriented culture that encourages peer reviews, coding standards, and knowledge sharing. The manager will balance workload and prioritization to ensure a sustainable delivery pace while promoting staff wellbeing. They will define and control the Scope of Work (SoW) for outsourced partners, ensuring that deliverables meet quality, timeline, and budget expectations. The role involves negotiating fair rates, enforcing service level agreements (SLAs), and driving issue resolution and continuous improvement with vendors. The manager will work closely with the Solution Architect and PMO on plans, dependencies, and milestones, maintaining transparent progress reporting. They will also manage a centralized Change Request and Problem resolution backlog, apply Agile practices, and ensure robust testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) sign-off. The role requires adherence to organizational standards and governance practices, ensuring compliance with data protection and audit requirements, and identifying optimization opportunities in processes and architecture.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar managerial role within ERP development. A deep knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI/Fabric, Azure services, SQL Server, .NET framework, JavaScript, and API integrations is essential. Experience with SAP Concur and Sapience platforms is also required. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage both internal teams and external vendors are crucial, along with a proven track record in managing budgets, timelines, and quality deliverables. Excellent collaboration skills with PMO and other stakeholders are necessary for success in this role.

Educational Background:
