Job Overview: The Driver position is integral to the operations of the Abidjan Resident Office (RO) of the EBRD. The primary function of this role is to provide safe and efficient transportation for authorized personnel using EBRD official vehicles. While the majority of driving will occur within Abidjan, the role may also require travel to other locations within Côte d'Ivoire and occasionally to neighboring countries. In addition to driving responsibilities, the Driver may be called upon to provide clerical support, which can include tasks such as delivering and collecting mail, answering phones, and recording business transactions. Duties and Responsibilities: The Driver is responsible for the safe and punctual transport of authorized personnel to various destinations, including airports, transport hubs, meetings, and appointments. Key responsibilities include:
Operating the official RO vehicle safely under all local conditions, employing defensive driving techniques.
Adhering to the EBRD's Code of Conduct and Driver Rules of Conduct, as well as local traffic laws and speed limits.
Ensuring that all passengers wear seat belts at all times and that the vehicle is in roadworthy condition before and after each trip.
Complying with the United Nations Department for security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security and Safety (UNDSS) procedures for route planning and avoiding restricted areas.
Maintaining the vehicle's cleanliness and ensuring it is equipped with necessary items such as a first aid kit and spare tire.
