Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is within UNHCR’s Private Partnerships and Philanthropy Section (PPH) based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The selected intern will work under the supervision of the PPH Assistant Officer and will be involved in various fundraising activities aimed at high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporations. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in not-for-profit branding and to understand the workings of the UN system. The intern will be expected to support the PPH Brazil fundraising operation by assisting with donor proposals, conducting research on potential donors, and maintaining communication with existing and prospective donors. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, eager to learn, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of refugees and displaced communities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: supporting the preparation of donor proposals for fundraising from corporations, foundations, and individuals; researching the philanthropic profiles of potential donors; keeping existing and potential PPH donors informed about UNHCR's work and priorities; registering all leadership donor information on the CRM database; assisting in the production of publications and PowerPoint presentations for donor meetings and events; scheduling meetings with potential and existing PPH donors via phone and email; supporting and checking deliveries from consultants and other service providers; helping to organize exclusive events for PPH donors; supporting procurement processes; providing administrative support to the unit; assisting with newsletters and other communication materials for donors and prospects; conducting research on specific topics related to Islamic Philanthropy activities in Brazil; and assisting the PSP Brazil team with campaigns and monitoring websites and social media portals for Islamic Philanthropists.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this internship should be a recent graduate or a current student in a graduate or undergraduate program in a relevant field such as Public Relations, Marketing, International Relations, or related disciplines from a university accredited by UNESCO. Candidates should have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a field relevant to UNHCR's work. Excellent planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload are essential. Fluency in English with advanced writing and editing skills is required, and additional languages are desirable. Candidates should also possess good experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and have demonstrated interpersonal skills.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed their studies within one year of applying for this internship or be current students in a relevant field. A minimum of two years of undergraduate studies in a field relevant to the work of UNHCR is required. The educational background should be from a university or higher education facility accredited by UNESCO, ensuring that the candidate has a solid foundation in areas pertinent to the role.
