Job Overview:
The Intern position within the Independent Evaluation Department at the EBRD is designed for individuals looking to gain practical experience in a dynamic and international environment. The role will commence in September and is expected to last for six months. Interns will be integrated into a collaborative team, contributing to various projects and initiatives that support the department's objectives. The position requires a proactive approach to learning and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment. Interns will engage in knowledge management activities, assist with communications and outreach, and provide logistical support for events, all while enhancing their understanding of development finance and international relations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Intern will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to: supporting knowledge management activities by maintaining and updating the department’s webpage and digital repositories; assisting with communications by drafting and editing content for newsletters and social media; providing logistical support for workshops and seminars; contributing to innovation initiatives by exploring new digital tools; supporting the editing and quality assurance of evaluation reports and communication materials; and collaborating with team members on ongoing knowledge and learning activities. This role is crucial for ensuring that the department's outputs are accurate, accessible, and aligned with institutional messaging.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a graduate qualification (Masters) in relevant fields such as Economics, Finance, Political Science, Sociology, Communications, or Media. Essential qualifications include a strong interest in development finance and international relations, excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience in event coordination, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and good digital literacy. Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to work under tight deadlines, and a proactive approach to tasks. Desirable qualifications include knowledge of International Financial Institutions (IFIs) and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

Educational Background:
A graduate qualification (Masters) in a relevant field is required for this position. This educational background should ideally provide candidates with a solid understanding of economic principles, political dynamics, and communication strategies, which are essential for the role.

Experience:
The position is suitable for candidates who may have limited professional experience but possess relevant academic qualifications and a strong interest in the field. Experience in event support or coordination is beneficial but not mandatory. The role is designed to provide practical experience and exposure to the workings of an international financial institution.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of an official language of the Bank other than English is considered an asset and would be advantageous for candidates.
