Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is designed to support the initiatives led by the Greening the Blue Committee at UN House Costa Rica. The intern will work under the supervision of the Executive Assistant, contributing to the development of a preliminary institutional environmental diagnosis and assisting in the design of a strategy aimed at improving the environmental sustainability of UN House Costa Rica. This role requires collaboration with the Greening the Blue Committee, presenting progress, proposals, and recommendations for feedback, and supporting the creation of a final written document that consolidates the diagnosis, proposed strategy, and recommendations. Additionally, the intern may assist in preparing executive presentations or materials for decision-making processes and perform other technical functions related to economic analysis and data management as assigned by the office's strategic priorities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for the following duties:

• Support the development of a preliminary institutional environmental diagnosis.
• Contribute to designing a strategy for enhancing the environmental sustainability of UN House Costa Rica, aligned with Greening the Blue principles and UN commitments.
• Collaborate with the Greening the Blue Committee at UN House Costa Rica.
• Present progress updates, proposals, and recommendations to the Committee for feedback.
• Assist in drafting a final document that consolidates the diagnosis, proposed strategy, and recommendations.
• Support the preparation of executive presentations or materials for decision-making as required.
• Perform other technical functions related to economic analysis and data management as assigned in line with the office's strategic priorities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should ideally possess a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health or related fields. It is preferred that applicants are students in their final year of an undergraduate program or are pursuing a master's or doctoral degree. While prior professional work experience is not mandatory for the UN Internship Programme, candidates must have a field of study closely related to the internship they are applying for. Applicants should indicate their qualifications and attach relevant documentation in their application. Experience in environmental health topics is desirable.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes being in the final year of a bachelor's degree program or pursuing a master's or doctoral degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Health or similar disciplines. Candidates who have completed a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree are also eligible to apply. It is essential that the field of study is closely related to the internship position.

Experience:
While the United Nations does not require prior professional work experience for this internship, it is beneficial for candidates to have some experience related to environmental health topics. Languages:
Fluency in Spanish, both oral and written, is required for this internship. English and French are the working languages of the United Nations, and knowledge of another official UN language is considered an advantage.
