Job Overview: The position of Ingeniero/a Asociado/a de Construcción involves overseeing construction projects with a focus on managing schedules and costs. Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of construction activities.
Monitor project costs and prepare budget forecasts to ensure financial efficiency.
Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to establish project goals and objectives.
Conduct site visits to assess progress and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Prepare reports on project status, including any issues or delays, and propose solutions.
Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
Participate in project meetings and provide updates on schedule and cost management.

Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in construction project management, particularly in schedule and cost management.

Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.

Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in project management or construction safety are highly desirable. Continuous professional development in relevant areas is encouraged to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction project management is required, with a focus on schedule and cost management. Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred. Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards is an advantage.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in the region. Proficiency in English is considered a valuable asset, especially for collaboration with international teams and stakeholders.
Additional Notes: The position is classified as an Associate level role (ICS 06) and is offered on a regular contract basis (ICA - LICA). The contract duration is ongoing, subject to organizational requirements, budget availability, satisfactory performance, and project needs. The role is based in Guatemala City and Zacapa, with potential travel to project sites as required.
