Job Overview:
The position of Website Development Support is crucial for revitalizing the Ann Foundation's online presence. The selected individual will be responsible for modernizing the foundation's website, which currently contains outdated content. The primary goal is to enhance the website's visual appeal, user experience, and overall functionality. This role involves a comprehensive review of the existing website, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes that align with the foundation's mission. The engagement is structured as a 12-week volunteer commitment, during which the individual will conduct a website audit, prioritize enhancements, and resolve technical issues. The successful candidate will ensure that the website is not only visually engaging but also performs efficiently across different browsers and devices, thereby improving accessibility for all users.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive review of the Ann Foundation's website to identify outdated content and areas needing improvement.
• Develop a modern and engaging website design using clean, testable, and efficient code.
• Implement approved enhancements that improve visual design, user experience, functionality, and performance.
• Complete a website audit to assess current performance and identify technical issues.
• Prioritize and implement agreed-upon improvements based on the audit findings.
• Optimize page load speeds to enhance user experience.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility to make the website accessible to all users.
• Document all changes made to the website for future reference and maintenance.
• Provide bi-weekly progress updates to the Ann Foundation team. 1
• Complete all assigned deliverables within the agreed project timeline and quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Experience with website design and development, particularly for non-profit organizations.
• Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with website auditing tools and techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for providing updates and collaborating with the Ann Foundation team.
• Strong organizational skills to manage project timelines and deliverables.

Educational Background:
A degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience in web development may also be considered.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in web development or a related field. Experience working with non-profit organizations or educational institutions is a plus, as it demonstrates an understanding of the unique challenges and needs of such organizations.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, as all communication and documentation will be conducted in English. Knowledge of additional languages may be beneficial but is not required.
