Job Overview:
As an Associate Investment Officer in the Funds and Co-Investments Division at the EIB, you will be tasked with managing a portfolio of private equity and infrastructure fund investments, particularly during the disinvestment and liquidation phases. This role requires you to engage in client relationship management, representing the Bank in advisory committees, and overseeing the monitoring and annual reviews of investments. You will also be responsible for the divestment of EIB positions, including the disposal of funds sub-portfolios on secondary markets. Your contributions will extend to reviewing valuations of your portfolio and coordinating periodic and ad-hoc reporting, ensuring that the Bank's investment strategies are effectively implemented.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining close relationships with fund managers and co-investors, actively representing the Bank in advisory committees, and ensuring timely transaction management. You will formulate and recommend event resolutions and divestment proposals, negotiate with external counterparts, and contribute to the execution of secondary sales of investments. Additionally, you will conduct performance reviews and valuations of your portfolio, implement updates to financial monitoring policies, and share insights and lessons learned within the team and across the Bank. Your role will also involve collaborating with various divisions within the EIB, including Origination, Legal, Risk Management, Financial Control, and Treasury, as well as maintaining contact with external stakeholders such as the European Investment Fund (EIF).

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Law, Finance, or Economics. A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in a similar role is required, ideally with exposure to private equity or infrastructure funds, focusing on investment, monitoring, or advisory functions. A solid understanding of international accounting standards and valuation methodologies is essential, along with familiarity with the EIB's mission and operations. Proficiency in standard computer tools, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, is necessary for this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree, with a preference for fields such as Law, Finance, or Economics. Experience:
The position requires at least three years of relevant professional experience in investment management, particularly in roles related to private equity or infrastructure funds. Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary working language of the EIB. A good command of French and/or German is preferred but not explicitly required. Additional Notes:
This is a full-time position at grade 4, offering a permanent contract with the EIB. The role is based at the EIB's headquarters in Luxembourg, which necessitates regular office presence.
