Job Overview:
The Facilities Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and strategic management of the IRC’s New York Headquarters. The role includes supporting space planning, office moves, and workplace improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. The Facilities Manager will manage facility vendors and contractors, oversee procurement and invoice validation, and support bidding processes for maintenance services. Financial management responsibilities include managing facilities-related budgets, reviewing invoices, and tracking operating expenses. The Facilities Manager will serve as a primary point of contact for facility-related issues, coordinate with internal departments, and assist with event preparation and inventory management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have at least 5 years of facilities or property management experience in a nonprofit, corporate, third-party, or consulting environment. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing teams and vendors are essential. Strong financial acumen, including budget development and expense tracking, is required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration across functions and seniority levels. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, SharePoint, and Box is expected, along with the ability to respond to facility emergencies and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, although equivalent work experience may be considered. Familiarity with safety regulations, building codes, and compliance requirements specific to New York is advantageous. Professional certifications such as CFM or FMP are also a plus.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in facilities or property management, demonstrating a strong background in managing facilities for a corporate headquarters or multi-site portfolio.
