Job Overview:
The Consultant for the Annual Staff Survey will support the UN Women Bangladesh Country Office (BCO) in conducting an annual staff survey aimed at collecting and analyzing data to provide actionable recommendations. The survey will be designed to be inclusive and will measure colleagues' perceived resourcefulness across five areas: Consciousness, Efficacy, Flexibility, Craftsmanship, and Interdependence. The ultimate goal is to enhance performance and resourcefulness within teams by establishing systems that support these objectives. The consultant will work closely with senior leaders and staff to ensure the survey aligns with UN Women’s social norm change strategy and People Strategy, fostering a respectful workplace and preventing discrimination.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and prepare the annual staff survey for the Bangladesh Country Office, ensuring inclusivity and alignment with UN Women’s principles.
  • Collect and analyze data from the survey, focusing on the five areas of resourcefulness.
  • Provide a comprehensive report detailing key findings and actionable recommendations for the office.
  • Conduct sessions with senior leaders to discuss survey findings and implications for office culture and performance.
  • Facilitate workshops on Adaptive Leadership and Cognitive Coaching to enhance staff capabilities.
  • Organize coaching sessions for thematic units based on survey results to establish sustainable systems for increased performance.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders within UN Women to ensure the survey's effectiveness and relevance.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards throughout the survey process.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, international studies, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in coaching, mentoring, and people development.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to facilitate workshops effectively.
  • Excellent presentation, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in Cognitive Coaching and Adaptive Leadership methodologies.
  • Experience in change management processes.
  • Previous work experience with UN agencies is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster teamwork within diverse groups.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, international studies, or a related field. This educational background is essential to understand the complexities of gender equality and women's empowerment, as well as the methodologies involved in coaching and leadership development.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in coaching, mentoring, and people development. This experience should demonstrate the candidate's ability to facilitate learning and development processes effectively, particularly in a diverse and inclusive environment. Familiarity with UN Women’s mission and operations will be beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within UN Women. Knowledge of Bengali is an advantage, as it facilitates better communication with local staff and stakeholders. Additional languages may be beneficial but are not required.
